Immediate Full time opportunity available to work in Suffolk County General Purpose of the Job Repair and service medical equipment including custom power and manual wheelchairs, maintain in-house stock levels of parts, schedule jobs, receive equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Emergency repairs to wheelchairs and other assistive technology Repairs due to general usage and deterioration Preventive maintenance - Wheelchairs and assistive technology, i.e., tighten bolts, cleaning, oiling, etc. Assessment of major repairs; determining need for rehab technology supplier Basic fabrication as directed by therapy staff Adjustments to wheelchairs as directed by therapy staff Integration of assistive technology as directed by the therapy staff All other duties as directed by the Associate Director or designee, . Means and ability to travel between Agency buildings. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months experience in a medically related field.
