A growth-oriented, privately held, direct marketing, sales, and distribution company, located along the west 485 corridor in Charlotte, NC is looking for an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, and support the Controller. This role is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth and professional development. Responsibilities: Executes Accounts Receivable activities to include: invoicing, EDI, scanning checks, collections, credit card processing, researching and solving chargebacks or short pay experiences Some Accounts Payable activities such as cash handling, reconciliations, invoice entering accruing credit card parches, making payments, etc Month-end close process Manually prepare and review monthly journal entries Performs and oversees account reconciliations Prepare monthly financial statements Assist in analyzing monthly results Prepares multi-state sales & use tax returns and property tax returns Works closely with Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Order Processing, and Warehouse on a regular basis Researches and responds to accounting inquiries with urgency Assists in the implementation or revision of corporate policies and procedures Performs special projects and other related duties as required by management Minimum Qualifications: BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, required Minimum of 2 years accounting experience to include activities such as AP/AR, reconciliations, month-end close, invoicing, reporting and sales tax Experience with a major ERP system and solid knowledge of Accounting standards and US GAAP Excellent organizational skills and attention to details is a must Ability to multi-task and is deadline driven Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and able to work closely with internal departments Process improvement skills and able to leverage technology Expertise with MS Office, specifically Excel **Please include your salary history and expectations with your resume.
