Padres Baseball Camp is now hiring for a Summer Camp Director Padres Baseball & Softball Camps operate camps around the San Diego area to boys and girls ages 4-13. Padres Baseball & Softball Camps enrich the lives of children through exceptional instruction, character development, and a unique major league experience that creates lasting memories. Padres Baseball & Softball Camps features five action-packed days of individualized instruction, marquee competitions, and special events. Each day of Padres Camp features a personal character theme, teaching campers lessons on the diamond that they can utilize off the field to become more outstanding young men and women. Responsibilities: Manage a team of 20+ staff members AND 150+ campers Manage and implement all camp processes, standard operating procedures, and baseball curriculum with keen attention to detail, enthusiasm, and professionalism Maintain the Padres Camps standards, as outlined in the employee handbook, relating to dress code, conduct, and all other areas Ensure a safe camp environment for staff, campers, and parents Responsible for communicating with both parents and headquarters regarding issues that may arise at camp. Qualifications: Make a multi-week commitment Monday-Friday for approximately nine hours per day Be a polished professional with demonstrated leadership ability Be able to pass a thorough background and reference screening Be prepared to travel to all of our sites in San Diego with reliable transportation At times be responsible for driving a rented cargo van & having a safe space to park it (Padres Baseball & Softball Camps covers the cost of fuel for the van) At a minimum, you must be familiar with the basic fundamentals of baseball Be able to attend the all-staff training on June 11th & 12th, 2023 and other pre-summer leadership trainings Benefits: Work outdoors all summer in the San Diego Area Free tickets to select San Diego Padres home games Catered (free) lunch on Fridays Lead our camper reunion event at Petco park with current/former Padres players Padres Camps operate in the San Diego Area!
