OUR CORE VALUES Accessibility, Belonging, Creative Expression, Rematriation Event Bartender Job Description | ALMA Reports to FOH/Restaurant Manager Avg 10-20 hours/wk | $16.00-$18.50 per hour + Tips OVERVIEW ALMA seeks friendly, upbeat Venue and Off-site staff to work variable shifts, including nights and weekends. They will mix and serve alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. They verify the identification and age of customers, prepare and serve alcoholic beverages, accept payment from customers, clean glasses and bar utensils and balance cash receipts to record sales. A quality candidate is knowledgeable about mixology and capable of mixing traditional drinks as well as crafting creative cocktails. A successful bartender increases customer retention and loyalty by mixing and serving quality cocktails with impeccable customer service. JOB EXPECTATIONS Verify identification and age requirements of customers Mix traditional and creative cocktails Process payment from customers Maintain a clean/organized workspace (surfaces, dishware, utensils, floors, backbar, fridges etc.) Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences Adhere to the opening and closing procedures posted (stocking, cleaning, organizing etc.) Record and balance cash receipts and prepare cash deposits Open and maintain tables throughout their shift Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere New hire cross training required Break down shift tip out Assisting in a variety of tasks delegated by management [Work Hours & Benefits] This is a Part-Time position, Non-Exempt for 10 - 20 hours a week. ALMA observes 7 Holidays per year and Benefits include: PTO accrual of 2 hours for every 40 hours worked Employer paid Employee assistance programs Employer paid Teladoc benefit 40% discount on menu items Employee Shifters 33% studio discount Free admission to ALMA shows (contingent on capacity) QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings Impeccable customer service and social perceptiveness Ability to evaluate customer satisfaction and responsiveness Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol Accountability in maintaining inventory and processing payments Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Physical ability to lift cases of product and/or kegs of beer Ability to change kegs Ability to change a soda bib
