Pali Merchandising Associate Responsibilities Assists the camp store manager as needed: Running the store in the absence of the camp store manager Operating the point-of-sale system for cash, credit card, and account sales Organizing and stocking of store displays Organizing and stocking of storage sheds Aiding customers in locating merchandise Answering questions from customers Suggestive selling Helping to expedite store throughput Assisting store manager with product research and ordering Assisting store manager in supervising temporary staff and/or store helpers Scheduling and training staff in store manager's absence Addressing complaints and resolving problems in store manager's absence Keeping the store clean and organized Learn the business side of running a store, merchandising and apparel purchasing and design. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.•Standing for long periods•Reaching for merchandise on high shelves•Climbing ladder to retrieve merchandise•Lifting up to 50 pounds•Working in sheds in very hot or very cold conditions•Retrieving/stocking merchandise in sheds in inclement weather•Long hours in heat to operate our food / ice cream sales Salary, Benefits and Schedule •Starts at $17 an hour - ANTICIPATED START DATE APRIL/MAY 2023•Part-time position, evening hours required, some weekend hours should be expected/possible.•Flexible hours, 20-30 hours or so a week•Paid holiday, vacation and sick time•During busy months hours may increase.
