A DAY IN THE LIFE AS BUSINESS SERVICES ADVISOR The Business Services Advisor is a branch-based sales and service position whose primary purpose is to support new and existing members by understanding their financial needs, recommending and opening appropriate products and services, resolving member issues and pro-actively marketing and selling business products and services. This position will be responsible for Performing the following duties: Engages current and potential members to gain an understanding of their unique financial needs and recommends and opens appropriate products and services to meet those needs while delivering a positive member experience. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of both consumer and small business products and services and seeks cross sell opportunities to enhance and deepen member relationships. Conducts outbound calls to business members and prospects new member relationships. Meet established business sales goals and service standards by establishing and retaining relationships with existing and new members. Establish and sustain successful business member relationships that maximize the sales and revenue of loans, products and services from the credit union. Proactively prospects current members and potential members for business account through personal contact, telephone outreach and community activities. Actively participates in branch sales and marketing activities embodying our member commitments to accountability, community, innovation and accessibility. Serve as the point of contact for branch personnel, assisting with business member transactions Support the Business Loan Officers and the Business Services Manager and Account Manager. Working with branches and educating them on internal promotions, products, and services. Ensures all compliance related activities are successfully completed. Completes required training and continuing education, completes required administrative tasks. Maintain all aspects of policy and procedure compliance for business deposit accounts Open new business accounts or other credit union products with completeness & accuracy while ensuring a positive member experience. All other duties as assigned PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Department policies and procedures are followed. Established sales goals are met Positive relationships have been established with branches that our in your assigned area Loan documents, account records, and related files are complete, accurate, and timely. Professional business relations exist with members and external business contacts. Questions and problems are promptly and courteously resolved. Assistance is provided as needed. Effective working relations exist with Credit Union personnel and with management. Assistance is provided as needed. Management is appropriately informed. EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent. Additional coursework in business/finance preferred. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE Some understanding of small business and CRE loans. Understanding of business structures , Understanding of Credit Union policies and procedures EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Minimum of 2 years of related retail experience. , SBA lending experience preferred. Experience handling problem issues on accounts. SKILLS/ABILITIES Solid communication and negotiation abilities, Strong public relations skills. Able to use all related computer applications and business machines.
