Accounting Supervisor

Description:
Packaging Materials Inc is hiring an Accounting Supervisor in Cambridge, Ohio to oversee and manage the accounting operations for our manufacturing facility. Providing periodic financial reports and maintaining the accounting records system will be a significant part of the role. This involves ensuring reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Participates in onsite monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, and variance analysis Ensures inventory accuracy via monitoring of physical count program, bill of materials, etc. Assists in the preparation of reports, internal controls documentation and other internal and external reports as required Provides management with timely review of organization's financial status and progress Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting policies and procedures Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated Manages accounts payable process Assists with cost estimating for new and existing products and product options Assists with the development of overhead and labor standards Evaluates job costing variances and coordinates with production team to resolve Assists with configuration and continuous improvement of newly implemented ERP system Assists with special projects as required Performs other duties as assigned Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, or business administration Minimum of four years accounting experience, with 2+ years' experience working in a manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in ERP systems (Radius and Open Accounts a plus) We offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with matching company contribution, as well as generous paid time off.
