POSITION SUMMARY: The main goal of the ABS Project Engineer/Project Manager is to provide direct support and information to the sales team in the effort to close orders at or above budgeted margins. FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Provides sound design engineered product drawings, specifications, preliminary bills of materials, and costs to the ABS sales team that meets or exceeds customer's schedules. Provides cost‐effective solutions or recommendations in its project‐related designs and specifications that can positively impact material or labor costs and quality resulting in increased value to our clients. Provides accurate cost estimates, designs, and descriptions of the goods and services quoted so that the order can be processed with accurate and clear responsibilities of the company and client. Provides installation scope of work and cost information and incorporates this information into quotes with accurate and clear responsibilities of the company and client. Incorporates all of the above information into a quote document for acceptance by the customer. Provides innovative and creative concepts and solutions to existing product features, designs, vendor components, and the like that lowers cost, maintains or improves departmental or product quality, improves services, saves time, increases volume, etc. Provides innovative and creative concepts and solutions to existing engineering and cost estimating processes that improves quality & accuracy, improves services, saves time, increases sales, etc. Examples include automated Bills of Material, design information, energy usage estimates, utility requirements, and building profiles. Provides innovative and creative new process and/or product development concepts for Arizon to explore future Research & Development, or provides sound engineering design, specification, and project management on new product development that Arizon may choose to engage in. Provide quarterly reviews and updates of product costs/pricing program utilized both in project management & sales engineering departments for greater accuracy, efficiency of use, and utilization of such. Compare actual costs with estimates for needed changes in estimates. Collaborates thoroughly with Arizon's direct and indirect customers, sales partners, installers, internal company departments, and sales representatives in order to satisfy customer needs, improve quality, improve communication, reduce mistakes, save time, improve services, lower costs, increase margins, be timely, solve issues, take advantage of opportunities, etc. Communicates with Sales and Marketing regarding project activities, client feedback, design improvements, and potential new opportunities. Through formal and informal training, continues development of personal and professional skills. Establishes and participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of social, economic and other trends that may affect the business or direction of the Company's initiatives, policies and programs. Performs other related duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required Minimum 5 years' experience in a project manager, design engineer, or sales engineer role. Experience and basic knowledge of HVAC equipment, controls, electrical equipment and construction equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Strong organization skills Well-developed communication skills Ability to maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with client teams and coworkers Must exhibit creativity and innovation in project solution Ability to multitask, managing multiple efforts concurrently
