The community Living Coach, provides residential support services and community support services to consumers with serious mental illness residing in Bridgeway Residential Facilities. This role is under the direction of the Community Housing Coordinator. We would love for you to apply and bring your ability to understand the emotional and social needs of persons with intellectual and/ or developmental disability; ability to understand the concept of normalization and individualization; ability to interact effectively with adults with intellectual and/ or developmental disability; good planning and organization skills; good interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written. To learn more about this position, please read the summarized list of duties and qualifications below: Implements selected aspects of the consumer centered plans with focus on skills training in the areas of basic survival and daily independent living skills. Assists in the provision of other support services for residents. Develops a respectful helping and supportive relationship with each consumer to promote recovery and reintegration into the mainstream of community living. Our minimum requirements include reliable transportation, valid driver license, proof of insurance and good driving record. Must also be 21yrs of age and meet the DMH credentialing requirements of a RSA to work in mental health residential settings. Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification after hired along with a Medication training program. If licensed, required to maintain license requirements.
