THE OPPORTUNITY Holland Construction Services is seeking a Project Controls Manager to lead, direct, and manage the project controls department. The Project Controls Manager is to assure that the reporting systems for project controls, the project controls roles and staff and the tools used in project controls are developed, available and functioning, according to industry best practices. This position is critical to the proper coaching and mentoring of other roles within the Project Controls unit. WHAT YOU'LL DO Focus on operations management and project level financial management, planning, and performance. Instill fundamental project management and financial discipline throughout the organization. Establish best practices related to project management. Establish clear and consistent reporting, mechanisms, metrics, and habits. Develop company standard reports to aid in Project Planning, Budgeting, Risk Management, Change Management, Forecasting, and Project Administration. Create custom project reports based on unique project dynamics or owner reporting requirements. Lead interactive project planning meetings. Project manager training on both software and fundamentals. Effective integration of controls, operations management, accounting. Software system solutions. Troubleshoot technical, procedural, and process issues. Prepare functional specifications for enhancements and provide user acceptance testing. Provide leadership and guidance for ERP migration. Provide leadership and guidance for Project Controls Group including recruitment, development, and training. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement. Minimum of 10 years project controls experience. Ideally will have field experience to facilitate and produce detailed construction schedules and interface those with other activities Analytical individual able to work collaboratively with both the CFO and operations leadership. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Experience with Procore and Microsoft Project required. Experience with Sage 300 CRE and P6 are a plus.
