POSITION SUMMARY: This position supports the goals of the manufacturing departments by providing a diverse array of interrelated responsibilities. The Fan Assembler will work with the Fan Team to improve and develop our manufacturing quality and efficiency for our specialized fans. FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Work from blueprints, schematics, and/or assembly sketches to gather, stage and assemble products and related items. Mig weld structural steel to create a fan frame. Plasma cut sheet metal to create the fan shroud opening. Assemble the fan product by installing the motor, the drive group, shivs, props, etc. by adjusting, trimming and/or fitting parts to engineering specified tolerances. Assist Engineering & QC with testing each fan for air flow, vibration, and structural integrity tolerances. Once trained, completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. Takes initiative to perform other assignments or tasks as required by the department and company. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds and have reliable transportation is a must. Must have a can-do, positive attitude, and the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced team environment. Must pass a background check and drug test EDUCATION : High School Diploma or GED Or equivalent experience Mechanical/Technical Degree from Technical College or University is a plus SKILLS & ABILITIES: The ability to read a tape measure accurately is a must. Must have experience using hand tools and air tools. Have technical capacity to learn new processes as required. Excellent time management and attention to detail. The ability to properly operate material handling equipment including forklift and overhead Crane is a plus.
