Learning Management Systems (LMS) Administrator Position Overview: Serve as administrator for all web based and mobile applications used to deliver curricula, conduct assessments, and track progress of Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) students. Location: DLIFLC, Building 614, Room 111, 1759 Lewis Road, Monterey, CA 93944 Salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 is based on experience and technical interview. Job Duties: Manage the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) by collaborating with other educational technology specialists and academic users. Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance, and escalation management. Monitor reoccurring issues and identify potential sources of increased efficiency. Develop standardized LMS operational processes and procedures, guidelines, and documentation to ensure LMS governance model is followed. Ensure that educational content is being delivered without experiencing any avoidable technical issues that could diminish the overall user experience. Develop and deliver standard reports on the LMS and other digital learning products. Engage business stakeholders to understand needs, showcase capabilities, and drive adoption Serve as a team expert in the LMS space. Stay up to date with industry best practices, new technologies, functionality, and innovations in the field. Work in partnership with subject matter experts to gather information needed to develop training content. Create Microsoft Teams sites for customers Assign education account licenses to students and faculty members Train members in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Job Requirements: ACTIVE Secret Clearance Educational requirements include a bachelor's degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university or the equivalent experience in Instructional Design/Technology. 5 years of related experience in a higher education environment 2+ years LMS experience (Canvas preferred) Required Qualifications: LMS experience Microsoft 0365 knowledge Other Requirements: US Citizen Benefits Overview: Full-time employees are offered comprehensive and competitive benefits package including paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, health insurance, life insurance, military leave, training, tuition reimbursement, a wellness program, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) retirement plan with company matches/immediate vesting, commuter benefits, and more.
