Description To safely operate & maintain a Heidelberg Offset Printing Press to efficiently & effectively manufacture folding cartons. Responsible for production performance and crew management. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Production management to include: Machine setup, adjustments, make readies Troubleshooting of machine and/or quality issues Assist with maintenance, machine setups, etc. Completion of required product and process audits Exchange of information with shifts prior to/following work shift Adherence to quality specifications Identification of product/process enhancements to improve efficiencies, reduce downtime & spoilage Must be able to differentiate colors Production schedule output and timeframes Team management to include: Training of crew members to ensure job duties are performed efficiently and effectively Enforcing compliance with company policies (i.e., GMP/AIB/Safety) Maintaining a clean and safe work area Effectively leading work crew to meet production goals Attend team meetings Actively participate in and support sample production runs Other job duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Climate controlled facility Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to stand and work 12-hour rotating schedule and possibly include holidays and weekends depending on client's needs of 36-48 hours plus work week depending on schedule We offer an attractive benefit package that includes competitive wages, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, paid breaks/lunches, attendance bonus, paid holidays and Paid Time Off. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: In-depth understanding of printing concepts Must have good communication skills Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to troubleshoot equipment & quality issues Ability to train new team members Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand/walk and work 12-hour shifts with a 36 to 48+ hour work week when needed Ability to work weekends and holidays if necessary to meet customer demands Must be able to differentiate colors Education and Experience Must have prior printing experience as either Operator I or Operator II with related job duties and responsibilities Post-secondary education in printing technologies, etc. preferred General Math skills
