A critical part of the clinical team in our Children's Residential Center, the Cottage Therapist provides individual and group therapy, as well as crisis counseling, to clients in assigned cottage/caseload. The Cottage Therapist helps to lead the clinical team within the cottage and oversees therapeutic services. Rewards : $1000 Employment bonus - paid within 60 days of employment Health Insurance Dental Vision Paid time off & paid holidays Life Insurance (including optional coverage for dependents) 401(k) with employer match Requirements : Master's degree in Social Work, or equivalent. Licensure required (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC). Therapeutic experience working with children required; experience in residential treatment preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license, with driving record that is insurable on agency policy; ability to legally and safely drive a vehicle. Working understanding of trauma therapy and TBRI (Trust-based Relational Interventions) strongly preferred. Must be able to maintain compliance/certification with CCHO's requirements for using physical restraints (SCM: Safe Crisis Management), including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training. Physical ability to respond to crisis. Responsibilities : Adheres to CCHO's statement of faith and code of conduct. Treats others with Christ-like attitude, while helping them experience their worth in Christ, and demonstrating behaviors reflecting CCHO's core values of Relentless Commitment, Selflessness, and Kindness. TEAM first. Assesses client's therapeutic needs/strengths and establishes therapeutic relationship while utilizing interventions that will enhance overall functioning. Facilities individual and group sessions, assisting clients to understand and overcome past trauma and find hope and insight into their present and future dreams/goals. Completes appropriate documentation/paperwork according to CCHO standards and deadline. Facilitates case management as needed. Participates in agency and professional training and collaboration with clinical team and other CRC positions. Provides training to cottage staff, as needed.
