Overview: GTSC is a dynamic Government Contracting firm that offers IT & Engineering and Health & Wellness professional services directly to the Federal Government or to other prime contracting companies. Our staff members are experts in all aspects of IT, as well as support services to the country's veteran community. Hybrid possible after transition. We are currently seeking an PR Specialist to join our team. This is a new position that will report to the Controller. Responsibilities: Payroll & electronic timesheet processing. Preparing and maintaining accounting documents while interfacing with HR Department. People and Expense assignment set ups in accounting system. Reconciliation of select balance sheet accounts for month close. Researching, tracking, and resolving payroll and/or documentation discrepancies. Participating in monthly and fiscal-quarter closings, preparing general ledger journal entries, and analyzing expense variances. Compiling reports/summaries of financial activity. Additional duties as assigned. Experience & Education Requirements: Experience with one or more payroll processing systems 3 - 5 years, minimum Government Contracting, a plus. Personal Requirements: Deadline oriented. Highest attention to detail. Proactive approach to system & reconciliation processing. Dependability & reliability are critical. Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently. Work Authorization Requirements: Valid authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or a Degree in progress within accounting or related field (Finance, business, etc.), a plus Experience working with one or more accounting systems. Experience working with Microsoft Office applications.
