Please note: Must be 21 years of age or older for this role HOURS: Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 6:30 PAY RANGE: $19.00 - 23.18 /hr DOE If you are looking to be a difference maker in the lives of youth, then the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County may be the place for you! As a Teen Director, you will be joining an incredible team of fun, caring and passionate staff working to help all youth achieve success. The Teen Director: Provides safe and healthy spaces for youth Is asset based and youth driven Fosters the development of positive relationships and social skills Sets high expectations for growth and learning Is an advocate and conducts outreach for teen members Develops a recruitment and retention program for 6th-12th graders Encourages members to participate in a variety of program areas, activities Oversees proper record keeping and reporting including activities, events conducted, and grant implementation, breakdowns of daily participation figures, notable achievements and any issues that arise Develops partnerships with parents, community leaders, and organizations Conducts tours and hosts club visits and/or community events Benefits for employees: Monday - Friday schedules -> no weekend work! Medical insurance for Full-Time (employee pays $81/month for employee only coverage) Dental insurance for Full-Time (base plan paid 100% by BGCWC for employee only coverage) Employee assistance program (free to all employees) Paid time off of 6.5 days first year (increases based on years of service) for Full-Time Sick Days accrual per WA State Sick Leave Law for part-time employees (1 hr sick accrued for every 40 hours worked) Part-Time employees accrue paid time off (PTO) with a cap of 37 hours per year Vision insurance (plan paid 100% by BGCWC for employee only coverage) Life Insurance/Supplemental/Spouse/Children Insurance available (50% of life insurance premium paid by BGCWC) for Full-Time employee Short Term Disability (50% of premium paid by BGCWC) for Full-Time employee Long Term Disability (50% of premium paid by BGCWC) for Full-Time employee 401k plan after 1 year of service & 1,000 hours worked (minimum 21 years of age) We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and our employees are people with different strengths, experiences and backgrounds, who share a passion for improving people's lives.
