TESTER Responsibilities: position will be required to perform CAT testing and financial testing to support the United States Postal Service. The candidate must be able to work under direct supervision and deliver required work products related to assigned tasks and work group. The individual will write data specific simple requirements and basic functional requirements, and test scripts and must be able to write data specification related Change Requests. The candidate will elicit B2B data and functional requirements using interviews, document analysis, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. As part of the ongoing CAT testing efforts, they will also deliver the following documents: (Technical Requirements /Functional requirements (Software Requirements Document), Process Flow, workflow and data flow documents, Use Cases, GUI, (Screen and Interface designs), training guides and materials, user guides, technical guides, Data-specific modeling design. In addition, the resource will be tasked with developing requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language, collaborating with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs, and help with the QA process and training material development. Minimum Requirements: Must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or science related field or related experience Must have educational experience with a science degree in the area of requirements management and SDLC. Must be a U.S. citizen and/or authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer Must be able to be cleared with public trust US government clearance Must be located in the D.C. Metropolitan Area Required skills/Level of Experience: Should have strong written and verbal communication skills. Must understand data modeling, data entities and data communication and processing. Good interpersonal skills. Working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile development methodologies is important. Knowledge and experience developing UML use cases. Proficient in MS Office Suite (EXCEL, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.) Must be well trained in technical writing skills. Previous experience performing Manual testing in a CAT environment.
