This is an opportunity to join a growing and well-respected practice! Las Vegas Urology is currently seeking a detail-oriented Medical PBX Operator to join our team. Our employees work together supporting several clinics across the city and have been doing so for decades. Las Vegas Urology offers a competitive benefit package which includes: Medical, Dental, Vision & Life are paid at 100% for employee only effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment 401K and Profit Sharing after 1 year of employment PTO accrual 7 paid holidays Summary of Duties: Operates clinic switchboard, provides routine information, and directs all calls to appropriate area. Essential Functions: Channels all incoming calls and routes calls to appropriate departments. Responds to emergency calls according to established procedures. Communicates general clinic information. Organizes and efficiently handles switchboard material. Uses paging system according to procedure. Maintains schedule of physicians on-call log, updating as necessary, notifying answering service of changes. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations Conduct self in accordance with Las Vegas Urology's employee manual. Performs related work as required. Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED Skills/Experience: Knowledge of phone systems. Skill in answering calls in a pleasant and helpful manner. Knowledge of computer programs. Ability to operate basic office equipment. Must be well organized and detail-oriented. Must have knowledge of modifiers Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing and walking for periods of time. Some bending, lifting and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations.
