We have a dynamic opportunity for SQL Server Report Writer to join our team! Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced analysts/programmers. Job Summary: Under direct supervision the candidate will assist with developing, administering, and maintaining Microsoft SQL servers, clusters, and databases. Applies appropriate processes, procedures, and security measures to ensure data availability and integrity to improve performance, availability, and stability of all IT initiatives. Essential Duties: The SQL report writer will perform the following key functions: Coordinates enhancements and maintenance of databases, as well as structural changes. Implements backups, maintenance plans and other procedures. Continually monitors database performance and enhance performances as required. Documents database architecture - Data Modeling. Performs data loading and verification. Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems; or an equivalent degree and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work and learn under direction supervision. Intermediate understanding of SQL query scripting. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriate. Outstanding time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Detail oriented, experience researching business needs, troubleshoot issues, and capacity to re-engineer reports to mee business needs.
