First Resources Corp. of Ottumwa is looking for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) offering flexible schedule options! This is a position that will work days to evenings in the clients homes and community. Driving and scheduled appointments are a huge part of this job. Our agency serves individuals who come to receive assistance from Direct Support Professionals with gaining the skills necessary to reintegrated back into community living! This role would partner with clients on social outings, community activities, shopping, errands, in-house activities/games/crafts, medication support, attending appointments, advocacy, making safe choices, working on goals the clients set, light cleaning, and helping with communication and self-expression. At First Resources Corp. we strive to inspire hope and to contribute to the well-being of the people we serve! As a Direct Support Professional is there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like: Money management Socialization Goal Setting and achieving Communication and self-expression needs Coping skills Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Thorough training will be provided during your employment to excel at this position! No previous experience required!
