Carpenter HPM Contracting Denver, CO Full-time Job details Job Type Full-time On-going need to fill this role Qualifications US work authorization (Required) Full Job Description HPM is seeking experienced carpenters all throughout the front range and select locations throughout Colorado. Please respond to this advertisement to express interest in our career opportunities. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Five years of experience or ability to show equivalent experienced job skills. Must Pass the Following: I-9 Completion Background Check Drug Screening RESPONSIBILITIES: Safety Proactively approaches safety, making it the most important facet of daily activities. Has the authority to stop work anytime an unsafe activity is observed. Relationships Becomes familiar with HPM's culture and way of doing business. Conducts self professionally and understands they represent the company and the HPM image to our trade partners, clients and the general public. Quality Control As the first line of defense in quality control any deficiency is to be reported immediately. Layout & Surveying Ability to set horizontal and vertical controls for the project. This can be done with batter-boards, string line, survey equipment etc. Layout embeds and other items such as rebar and post tensioning on formwork without assistance if needed. Be able to establish grade and working lines from control set by others Understand components of concrete formwork (wood, steel, aluminum) Carpentry experience As an experienced level position, 5 years of experienced in the following or combination of the following is required. Exceptions may be made if an individual can demonstrate mastery of skills with less than five years of experience Rough Carpentry - Formwork, framing wall, & temporary enclosures, etc. Finish Carpentry - millwork, trim, furniture & finished, etc. The following minimum hand tools are required: Tool Bag Hammer Cats paw pry bar Wonder Bar Tape Measure (25' or longer) Chalk Line with chalk (Blue or Red) Carpenter pencils Utility knife Tin Snips (Left-Green, Right-Red, and Yellow-Straight) Speed square Torpedo level Wood Chisel Cold Chisel Leather work boots (Steel Toe preferred but not required) The following PPE will be provided by HPM Hardhat Safety Glasses Safety Vest Gloves Other specialty PPE needed for operations will be provided by the company as required.
