Community Interface Services has been serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in San Diego County since 1983. At the core of our services, we believe that people with intellectual/developmental disabilities are in the best position to determine how they want to live, and that they should be valued and included in society. We help them achieve their desired lifestyle through a variety of programs that tackle different aspects of independence, such as housing assistance, employment resources, community support, and financial management. We are hiring Resource Counselors to work within the programs we offer to directly support members of our community! Key Responsibilities: Assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities navigate their local communities Support individuals in exploring volunteer opportunities, paid employment, or educational opportunities Develop and implement a plan of direct support for an individual's personal goals Document each individual's progress, working with a larger team to analyze metrics and determine future steps Manage a caseload of individuals or groups, each with their own unique learning style This human services position typically works Monday through Friday d uring daytime hours, and flexible schedule may be available. This role earns a competitive starting rate of $18.50-$20.50 per hour and is a great entry level position to break into social services. Work locations include Central San Diego to East County.
