As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our financial records and providing timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions. You will be reporting to the Accounting Manager and working closely with other members of the accounting team. Competitive compensation Full-time position Work hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Health, Dental, and Vision plans SIMPLE IRA Paid Vacations and Holidays WHAT REQUIREMENTS DO I NEED TO HAVE TO APPLY? A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. A minimum of two years of prior accounting experience with general ledger functions. Advanced Excel skills, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and filters. Quick Learner with ability to adapt to change and new processes. Team player Ability to multitask. Knowledge of retail accounting. WHAT WILL I DO? Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented. Prepare and publish financial statements in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that all accounts are properly classified and documented. Comply with financial policies and regulations, including ensuring that all transactions are properly authorized and recorded and that all financial information is kept confidential. Report directly to the accounting Manager Use advanced MS Excel skills, including v-lookups, pivot tables, and filters, to analyze financial data and prepare reports and presentations for management. Pay close attention to detail and use strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and more.
