A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT SERVER As a Server, you are an essential team member in our front of house operations ultimately responsible for our customers' dining experiences. You love letting your personality shine while taking food and beverage orders and are knowledgeable about the menu so you can explain dishes to guests and clarify any concerns about allergies or styles of food preparation. You'll be quick on your feet submitting orders to the kitchen and bringing food out to guests when it is ready, filling their drinks and checking on other tables in the meantime. Additionally, you'll help your tables pay their bill and make correct change, keeping track of receipts and tips. In addition to caring for guests, as a Server you'll maintain a clean and sanitary environment by bussing dishes, sweeping floors, wiping menus and completing other closing tasks. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers! QUALIFICATIONS A team player with a hospitality first mentality and a keen willingness to learn Positive attitude and excellent communication skills Basic math and familiar with point-of-sale computers and software Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items for extended periods of time Two years server experience preferred, but we will train the right restaurant candidate who shows a willingness to learn in a collaborative environment Do you work well as part of a team and thrive in a fast-paced environment?
