Medical Assistant Aegis Health Care is hiring Healthcare Heroes! A tlas Medical is currently seeking a dependable, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant . Aegis specializes in providing care for hospice and home health patients. This is a full-time position working Monday- Thursday from 7:30 am- 6 pm in our Wasilla office. The Medical Assistant is an important part of the Aegis Healthcare team. The Medical Assistant works with patient care in a clinical setting . You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner . Aegis Health Care is unlike any other health care company. Job Responsibilities: Rooming patients, check vitals, and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments Update and file medical records and insurance reports Arrange imaging orders and laboratory services Assist during medical examinations and procedures Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments Comply with privacy/confidentiality policies and regulations Skills & Qualifications: Knowledge of Medical Terminology Adaptive problem-solving skills Keen attention to detail Service oriented mindset Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable automobile Proof of current automobile insurance Criminal background check clearance/fingerprint clearance Negative TB test Must be at least (18) years of age Working Environment: Works indoors at Agency and occasional travel for office duties.
