Monument Construction, a subsidiary of TMC, is a Class A General Contractor well-versed in complex historic renovation and new multi-family construction projects. TMC's experienced construction team seeks to hire a motivated Project Engineer to keep projects running on time and within budget. Prior construction experience and/or a bachelor's degree in construction, real estate, or related field is required. The ideal Project Engineer excels at detail-oriented tasks while managing long-term projects and big-picture goals. THE ROLE The Project Engineer helps to control the time, cost, and quality of construction projects from start to finish. They are involved in planning and coordinating all aspects of the construction process, including hiring subcontractors and working with engineers, architects, and vendors. PRIMARY DUTIES Pre-construction Work with municipalities to acquire all permits, incentive and abatement approvals, and necessary utilities to ensure a project can proceed without delay. Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to develop project schedules. Manage subcontractor bids, scope, and buyout. Construction Work with Superintendents and Project Management to plan, organize and direct construction activities. Work with internal and external parties to ensure projects comply with Historic Tax Credit requirements and key application deadlines are met. Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs, and scheduling. Oversee RFI's, Submittals, Owner and Subcontractor Change orders, and Notices of Delay. Review and approve all vendor and subcontractor invoicing. Utilize technology to maintain and update project documents so that all parties have the most up-to-date project information in the field. Post-construction Ensure smooth project handover to Legend Property Group or owner by: Assembling and organizing all warranty information, subcontractor information, and materials specifications for future reference. Assist Superintendent with punch list review and walkthrough with Property Management/Owner. Establish and maintain project files QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant work experience required Proficiency with smart phone technology and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required Valid Driver's License and the ability to maintain a driving record that is deemed acceptable by the company's insurance carrier to drive a company vehicle and/or drive a personal vehicle on company business Procore project management proficiency a plus Yardi accounting software proficiency a plus INTERESTED?
