The position of Breakfast Cook consists of being prepared to cook and present all menu items as required by the Chef. Also, assuring that your performance is at an advanced culinary level, in order to exceed the expectations of our guests and community. Always approach the job in a clean, organized, professional manner while managing preparation of food items, being familiarized with all aspects of sweet and savory breakfast, and must be a self-starter with good time management skills. Responsibilities: Present food using proper plate presentation techniques. Maintain organization and cleanliness of work station with designated supplies, forms and resource materials at all times. Coordinate completion of menu items with server. Prepare work checklist and organize work stations for each shift. Check and maintain coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity and quality of food. Requisition of food with necessary approvals according to policies. Take proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment. Work in a team-oriented environment and under demanding conditions. Help train or offer direction to new hires. Prepare stocks, sauces, bisques or mayonnaise for serving. Prepare and cook meat, poultry, fish and seafood. Wash, peel, cut and seed fruit and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Knowledgeable on breakfast style cooking. plating all food orders in an efficient, healthful and attractive manner. Qualifications and Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years of previous experience. Flexible schedule is a must. Culinary education preferred. Work well under pressure. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others' actions, to monitor or assess performance of yourself, other individuals or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action Experience with egg cookery. Knowledge of seasonal ingredients and their cooking. Self-motivated. Ability to communicate orally and in writing with guests, management and staff.
