Description:
GATA, a US Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Office of Antiterrorism Assistance (DS/T/ATA) contract, assists foreign partners in developing the capability for anti-terrorism planning, coordination, and commitment to support U.S. counterterrorism objectives. ATA fosters cooperative efforts between U.S. law enforcement agencies and those of foreign partners to prevent future terrorist attacks and manage their consequences. ATA provides training, assistance and equipment to increase foreign partners' capabilities to prevent, interdict, and investigate acts of terrorism. ATA also advances U.S. foreign policy goals by strengthening bilateral relationships and increasing respect for human rights by sharing modern, humane, and effective antiterrorism techniques. Senior Cyber Investigator Lead and Staff Instructor Mandatory Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in the criminal digital computer forensic field. Three (3) years of professional work experience may be substituted for one year (1) of education. Eight (8) years of operational experience in conducting digital evidence collection, forensic analysis, and related law enforcement operations. Three (3) years of work experience in a state or federal prosecutors' office conducting investigations into cyber-crimes and/or terrorist related activities. Specialized training in industry accepted forensic or computer/network related certifications. Familiarity with various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and online non-email communication methods such as Skype, IRC, Snapchat, FaceTime, SMS, etc. Experienced with legal tactics and instruments such as preservation orders, subpoenas, and search warrants. Have the capacity to relate western legal concepts to foreign equivalent concepts, methods, and techniques. Have previously taught CAP or cyber related courses for local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies.
