Must be available holidays and weekends Pay: $19.25 SUMMARY Assists the Housekeeping Supervisor and staff in daily operations. Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with company standards of cleanliness and performance. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Assigns offices, public areas and guest rooms to House persons and Housekeepers. Advises staff of any guest request or areas of attention (i.e. heavy check out/ins, updates literature, special projects). Supervises the linen room and Housekeeping. Maintains a presence in the Housekeeping department to answer the phone and greet visiting guests. Focuses on room status communication with Front Office, tracking of guest assistance requests, delegation of tasks, staff responsiveness, timely completion of assignment and call backs to Front Office/guests/others with completion times. Completes at least five room inspection reports per day when not assigned to office. Communicates results to staff, tracks progress by room/housekee3per and keeps accurate records. Notifies House person II of all rooms that need carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning or floor care. Communicates to Engineering any needed repairs to apartments and/or public areas. Notifies House person of all rooms that require window cleaning or furniture moving. Inventories the linen room and places the order to the laundry. May be assigned special projects. Contacts Front Office to pick up reports and guest assistance requests. Opens Housekeeping Office, lockers rooms and phone lines. Checks for phone messages. Receives, logs and secures items found by staff. Investigates lost item inquiries and maintains detailed records of both items and inquiries. Other duties may be assigned. OUTCOME The clean hotel facilities and positive staff attitudes will strongly influence guest impressions of the total organization. Clean, tidy rooms will contribute to guest comfort and satisfaction. A satisfied guest is a repeat customer. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to speak effectively before employees, guests, or managers of organization. Must have the ability to communicated effectively in English when needed. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. SCHEDULING This company operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated unless you were hired for a specific shift, as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand.
