Job Overview The responsibility of this function is to provide program and project management of tufting machines. This role is expected to be customer facing along with managing a cross functional team through the full product delivery lifecycle. This role will coordinate efforts with R&D, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Plant, and Service to achieve the overall product delivery objectives. As a leader in the company, the Project Manager shall promote and champion elite performance in health & safety and quality while meeting the customers schedule and maximizing profitability. Job Description Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities · Oversee tufting machine production from quote through installation and commissioning. · Customer Satisfaction relevant to on time delivery, final product requirements, and expectations. · Be a culture champion by influencing a team first, servant hearted attitude of excellence throughout the company as well as respect for the Company's Mission, Vision, and Values. · Works closely with Sales on key customer communication and alignment on customer strategy. Add value to the Sales organization externally to be front-end with the customers, and add value to the production internally with End-to-End program management · Work directly with R&D, Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Plant, and Service Leads. · Promote a proactive and comprehensive safety culture throughout the organization. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment, free of hazards; maintain compliance to meet/exceed all site and regulatory requirements. · Regularly communicates a comprehensive program status to executive management. · Day to day tracking of program including KPI's during production. · Manage overall product cost COGS. · Track sale price, BOM, and cost of finished goods to provide feedback on pricing of a finished good according to incoterms requested by customer · Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards. · Participate in the quoting of new tufting machines and oversee its scheduling, and delivery. · Constantly solves problems and resolves issues through face to face and personal communication Specific duties include, but are not limited to: o Contract administration o Schedule management o Maintaining budget & cost reports o Investigation of non-conformance issues and implementation of corrective measures for continuous improvement o Risk management Qualifications and Education Requirements · Engineering, Construction Management, or Industrial Engineering degree preferred - previous experiences considered · 2+ years experience in project or program management · Knowledge and / or experience in a product manufacturing working type environment · Understanding manufacturing processes for tufting machines and carpet is a plus. · Able to function as a team leader or team member · Possess knowledge of standard practices for program management · Have knowledge of and / or experience with using the concepts of Lean · Experience with an ERP system Physical Requirements This position does require frequent visits to the manufacturing and assembly areas. There are no specific physical requirements but lifting up to 40 pounds might be required on a very infrequent basis as part of assisting other CMC personnel. The majority of the incumbent's time is in an office environment, with most of this time sitting at a computer station. Repetitive hand and arm motion, eye strain and eye fatigue common to prolonged computer workstation use would be expected.
