The DevOps System Administrator reports to the Vice President of Special Markets in the MWG-Administrators Division. The position is an exempt, salary role and is located at 500 Steed Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157. GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The DevOps System Administrator is a mid-level role. Assigned work will help to broaden the DevOps System Administrator experience and increase development and admin skills. To perform the job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Build, maintain and support teams to implement CI/CD pipelines in DevOps and other tools. Collaborate with cloud architects and developers to support existing systems. Ability to work in a cross-platform environment to help integrate key technologies used for automation, monitoring, management and reporting into Azure and design cross-platform automation solutions. Work autonomously to deliver outcomes with limited oversight from management. Document and structure artifacts for appropriate knowledge transfer. Identify manual processes that can be automated. Ensure a stable production and Client facing environments that are well built with a clear escalation path for solving issues. Work with IT Department to ensure server updates are installed on regular intervals. Engaging and working with multi-functional dev teams and dependencies to ensure the quality delivery. Able to demonstrate a strong engineering mindset throughout the project lifecycle. Build and oversee Azure resources to support the multiple development and production environments. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Special Markets EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate for this position would have the following required experience as follows: Bachelor's degree in a Computer Programming or related field, equivalent work experience. Must be proficient with server-side technologies such as ASP.NET, and .NET Core. Must have a passion for user-centric design, web standards, usability, and clean code, a working knowledge of source control systems. Must be able to independently solve technical problems and collaborate with other analysts. Must have the capacity to complete technically challenging projects. Must have the aptitude to put a test strategy or solution in place. Must be able to work with a minimum of technical supervision and supplemental engineering support, while responding efficiently to multiple program priorities. Possesses a high degree of initiative. Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty. Highly thorough and dependable. The ideal candidate for this position would have the following preferred experience as follows: A knowledge of programming concepts is a plus. Utilizing Powershell scripting to automate tasks. Experience with user administration duties, including creating users and groups. At least 5 years of experience working on large-scale, complex applications. Solid understanding of the System Development Life Cycle and the SCRUM methodology. Knowledge of server-side technologies such as ASP.NET, and .NET Core are a plus. Experience working with manual/automated Web deployments. Experience working in Microsoft Cloud stack including Azure technologies. Experience with unit testing and history of successful interaction with a QA group WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Must have the ability to work independently while practicing effective time management skills. Must be able to prioritize work on multiple projects and meet project deadlines in an organized manner. Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and have keen attention to details. Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills are required. Must be able to handle high priority time sensitive work items. Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85% of the workday. Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies, possibly weighing up to 20lbs.
