The International School of Portland is hiring for Summer Camp! Multiple Positions- We are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, and open-minded Part time & Full Time (Chinese, Japanese, & Spanish) Floating Aides / Assistants to join our team. Our Floating Aides are essential to the success of our busy and engaging language immersion camp. Floating Aides may assist in a variety of ways across different classrooms, organize games, cover breaks, assist with lunches, and more. Learn more about our camp at https://intlschool.org/summer/ DATES 2023: Floating Assistants may work in one, two, or all three sessions. Session 1 - June 26 - July 7 (no camp on July 4th) Session 2 - July 10 - 21 Session 3 - July 24 - August 4 (All teachers assistants must participate in training in May and/or June. When feasible, all trainings will be held virtually) HOURS: 7:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday PAY RATE: Floating Aide (Return or Aide II) $19.00 Floating Aide (New or Aide I) $18.00 CAMP TUITION DISCOUNT: Camp staff receive a discount off of Summer Camp enrollment fees for eligible children General Summary A seasonal position reporting to the Summer Camp Director, Floating Aides are essential team members who ensure camp is a safe and fun environment for all campers. Floating Aides act as additional supervisors, teacher's helpers, and break coverage staff. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising children in the classroom, during recess, and on field day and field trips; assisting with set-up and take-down of camp activities and supplies; and covering classrooms during staff breaks.
