Position Overview: The DC Power Sales Manager is responsible for developing new business and providing account management for on-going business relationships with Utility customers and their contractors, Telecom customers, and Data Center customers in the assigned territory of W. WI, MN, and ND. The key focus for the person in this role is to deliver exceptional technical support and customer service. Knowledge in DC Power Solutions is a must. Reporting Relationship: The DC Power Sales Manager reports to the VP of Sales & Marketing Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Prospect new leads and new business relationships with Utility, Telecom and Data Center End-users, key Electrical Engineers, and Electrical Contractors for purpose of maintaining and/or improving revenue and meeting gross margin targets Develop business relationships with key supplier personnel to ensure products and services are efficiently built and delivered as required by customers Deliver effective presentations on new products to existing and new customers Troubleshoot product and service related issues by being the bridge between customers and manufacturers Strong emphasis on proactive communication with North Central Sales Manager & other Sales Management, informing of any important developments with vendors or customers Accurately forecast expected sales on a monthly basis Involve Sales Management in customer visits when practical Maintain excellent records, manage receipts and expense reports, and submit to accounting department on a monthly basis Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Requirements: Skills/Knowledge Extensive knowledge of Batteries, Chargers, DC Power Plants, Telecom applications, Switchgear and Control applications, and Data Center applications as well as familiarity with complementary and competitive products Solid computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Outlook and Office products Personal Attributes Strong relationship builder and a strong personal desire to win Ability to multi-task and work cross-functionally Good organization skills Strong interpersonal, listening, questioning and communication skills (written and oral) Demonstrates servant leadership principles with internal and external customers Demonstrates innovation/creativity in work Possesses strong work ethic and takes ownership of both company and client goals/objectives Focused on understanding, meeting and exceeding customer expectations Focused on collaboration and team work for the mutual success of the company and its employees Education and Experience: 4 year college degree or equivalent, technical degree preferred but not required 5 years of proven experience in a technical sales role Travel expectations: Travel as necessary
