Louisiana Nurse Staffing is looking to hire LPNs in the New Orleans area. We work with many local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and senior living communities to help staff CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. Job Responsibilities Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs. Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. Provides routine care for patients. Observe patients' health. Reviews medical charts. Accompanies patients to their rooms Assists physicians and registered nurses. Communicates with patients and their families. Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler. Prepares specimens for lab courier. Administers medications. Provides wound care. Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas. Assists with patient comfort. Job Requirements Proven experience as LPN Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with hospital health, safety, and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Good physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of an LPN license program with a valid LPN license
