Kuusakoski is actively hiring for a full time Janitorial Maintenance position to support our recycling facility in Plainfield, IL. Essential Functions : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty listed below satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Duties/Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Performs work according to standard procedures and by building's maintenance schedule. Cleans production floor by using a wet sweeper and other tools provided. Maintains the cleanliness of railings, stairways, and machines throughout the facility. Washes walls, windows, doors, and sills throughout the facility on appropriate schedule. Dust woodwork, blinds, and office surfaces throughout the facility. Vacuum rugs and carpets in occupied areas of the facility. Mops all hard surface flooring in occupied areas of the facility. Cleans production bathrooms daily; this includes all toilets, sinks, floors, and mirrors. Cleans office bathrooms twice a week; this includes all toilets, sinks, floors, and mirrors. Cleans production breakrooms after each break, daily. Replenishes all restroom and breakroom supplies as needed. Removes trash from all wastebaskets and disposes in the compactor. Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions. Attend meetings and/or presentations as needed. Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the support of business and process improvements. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: The skills and knowledge required would generally be obtained with previous experience in janitorial maintenance. Basic household maintenance skills required. Neat appearance along with friendly, personable demeanor. Organized and efficient. Can handle multiple priorities and adjust scheduling needs. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisor. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
