Plasman , is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as: 2nd Shift Process Technician Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Work with the qualification of molds, mold revisions and prototype molds on first and subsequent tryouts until mold has been deemed production ready. Robot programming with various types of equipment End Of Arm Tooling troubleshooting and repair Establish molding processes on all new molds using Plasman processing methodology. Document all pertinent information for new molds to ensure successful hand off to manufacturing. May assist I.E. in new projects including set up, packaging, work cell layout, and operator ergonomics. Attend all meetings relating to the New Project Launch. (NPL) Support and assist project management with NPL activities. Documents all standards for established processes. Seeks out external resources to keep current with processing methods, equipment, technical information and development of a new process. Trains and develops technical skills in shop personnel. Trial out new equipment and technologies on the floor. Apply Plasman Guiding Principles while carrying out job responsibilities. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION LEVEL Technical degree or equivalent training/experience. JOB TRAINING & EXPERIENCE Experience as a Set-up and Process Technician. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED Problem solving. Plastic injection molding technology. Robot Programming and EOAT experience Metrology and GD&T. Statistical methods. Wide range of experience in plastic resins. Various inspection equipment and gauges. Basic mold design and function. Some knowledge of tooling. Troubleshooting of molding process and resin capabilities. Proper operation of equipment. Ability to recognize and correct molding problems of an illusive/deceptive nature. Basic to advanced P.C. skills. Interpersonal skills. Written and verbal communication skills.
