They are a problem solver with strong work ethic and leadership skills. The Shift Leader/ Assistant Manager understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority but efficient restaurant operations make it possible. They are leader with a goal to move up in the management field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Supervising employees, assigning duties, and creating a shift schedule. Monitoring team performance and ensuring duties are performed efficiently. Reporting any issues that arise during the shift to management. Managing employee requests and transgressions. Ensuring compliance with company policies, health, and safety standards. Coaching team members and training new staff. Opening and closing registers, accounting for the daily intake and preparing cash deposits. Handling customer issues and employee disputes. Develop and assign tasks to staff members, oversee completion of tasks Train new hires and create development opportunities for experienced staff members. P rovide recognition and constructive feedback throughout the shift as appropriate Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Required skills: Customer Service: A friendly, relaxing demeanor, courteousness and quick service will help get repeat customers. Stamina: Long, busy days on your feet are the trademark of this job. Teamwork: Shift leaders are part of a team. You will be working with others to make a great dining experience. Being a team player is essential.
