Maintenance Technician Associate

General Purpose of Position : To maintain the facility in the highest quality and working condition possible and to maintain a working environment that reflects the company's image. Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions) : Have some ability in Computer Control Systems dealing with HVAC and Utilities / Air Handlers Manage outside vendors and give direction when needed Support all projects and events around campus Provide periodic assistance to department heads with arrangements of special events On call 24 hours, 7 days a week to manage emergencies May assist in hazardous waste clean-up operations May conduct inspections of 90-day storage areas Conducts duties in a safe and compliant manner The ability to adapt to and to be flexible when plans change daily Able to work overtime and weekends Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Must have good General Maintenance Knowledge of all areas of maintenance such as HVAC, Air Handlers, Electrical, Fabrication, Welding, Carpentry, Painting, Cleaning, and PM Programs. Good leadership qualities and abilities. Knowledge of GMP regulations. Knowledge of proper documentation. Education and Experience : High School Diploma or the equivalent required. Trade school preferred. 3 - 5 years' experience as a supervisor in a maintenance environment preferred. Physical Demands and Work Environment : Required to stand most of the time and to sit, talk, see, and hear. Required to walk, lift, and move up to 75 pounds. Must use hands and fingers to operate controls/equipment/computer. Must have the ability to adjust focus for unplanned activities and other duties as assigned. Daily contact requires courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment. Most of the work environment is indoors, but outdoor work required. The noise level in the work environment ranges from quiet to loud.
