Summary/Objective: The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of kitchen utensils and designated area, ensuring state and health code sanitation requirements are met at all times. Role & Job Responsibilities Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster Set up or break down dishwashing area Clean and roll/unroll kitchen mats Fill/empty soaks tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions; (Changing sanitizing solutions as often as needed not exceeding a 1hr limit.) Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry Sweep/mop kitchen floors Clean and roll/unroll kitchen mats Notify manager any time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures Skills/Qualification Requirements Team-work oriented Be able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, and carry Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize Customer/client focused Communication proficiency Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time Must be able to tolerate potential exposure to allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish Must be able to tolerate high levels of noise Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Work Environment This job operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, garbage disposals, and cleaning chemicals. Physical Demands The Dishwasher position consists of long-standing hours and the ability to bend, carry and lift 20 to 50 pounds. It requires exposure to hot water temperatures and chemicals, making it critical for team members to follow safety protocol. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work The Dishwasher is expected to work an alternating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
