Description:
Aerospace Mechanical Technician: The Aerospace Mechanical Technicians (AMT) coordinate with the Foreman in developing and adjusting forecasts for contract, work task, and work team workloads. They support the processes to ensure materials are available to support missio n priorities. Required Qualifications : Three years minimum experience in: various trades such as metal design and fabrication, welding, machining, woodworking, and pattern/mold making; programming and operating CNC machinery to produce/modify components/parts; setting - up and operating a variety of automated presses, punches, brakes, waterjet machining centers, shears, mills, lathes, welders, etc; interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings; designing, developing, and constructing mechanical apparatuses, devices, equipment or components; rede signing/modifying equipment/components/parts to fit with divergent configurations or to enhance capabilities; analyzing technical data to determine applicability to design problems; calculating design data; preparing and documenting layouts, detailed speci fications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, etc; inspecting, analyzing and checking drawings or equipment/components to determine adequacy of drawings and design; planning and conducting inspections/tests to evaluate equipment/component performance; det ermining inspection/test requirements and procedures; analyzing inspection/test results and redesigning or modifying equipment/components to improve performance; performing non - routine and complex assignments involving responsibility for planning/completin g projects of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project; selecting and adapting plans, techniques, designs, or layouts; contacting personnel in related activities to resolve problems and to coordinate work efforts.
