Regional Accounting Manager

The primary role of the Regional Accounting Manager is to oversee essential accounting functions for all entities in their designated region. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise accounting staff: review and oversight or daily functions, training and development of staff , scheduling, staff evaluati ons Ensure proper internal control procedures are followed in the areas of cash management, payroll, A/P and A/R Oversee the m onth end closing process : Close out revenues from PMS and post to Accounting software Prepare and send owner statements and payments to owners Reconcile all bank statements and Trust account Prepare and file all state and local sales, lodging, tourist and payroll taxes P repare and post prepaid and accrual schedules Prepare monthly financial statement s & analyze variances to budget Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Assist with annual budget process Maintain general ledger and accounting software Work with regional General Manager and other departments to develop and implement improvements to current processes that will result in tighter financial controls and streamlined workflow Liaison to external audit ors , prepare schedules and organize files Member of software implementation teams, with primary function to assist with set up and programming needed to integrate with or replace existing accounting systems Qualifications: 5 years ' experience in accounting Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience required Vacation rental industry experience highly preferred Supervisory experience required Experience with filing state and local sales taxes Experience managing payroll to include filing of federal, state and local payroll taxes Software: Accounting software experience required ( Quickbook s , Netsuite or similar). Property Management software ( Escapia , Streamline, Track ) experience preferred Advanced skills with in Micro soft office suite - specifically with Excel Intermediate to advanced skill in utilizing technology and multiple data platforms to gather information and communicate Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Ability to lead a team by setting exceptional example of behavior, competency, and professionalism The Regional Accounting Manager is a salaried position that may require more than 40 hours per week on a regular basis. Holiday s, nights or weekend work may be required to meet workload expectations . Flexibility of work schedule and remote work may be available for the right candidate. The position will be required to submit to satisfactory pre-employment background check and sign a confidentiality agreement.
