Engineering Subject Matter Expert JHNA is seeking a talented Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing Fort Eustis team in Newport News, VA. This role is part of a bid and proposal effort with a "start work" timeframe of early 2023. The candidate will be supporting the Army's Aviation Development Directorate (ADD) Engineering Design and Analysis Branch (ED&A). This initiative will provide mechanical design, electrical design, and drafting support leading to multiple aviation systems Technical Data Packages (TDP) suitable for prototype, full production and special mission hardware. All designs shall be accomplished using Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO and CREO Schematics CAD software. This position will require on-site support at Fort Eustis, VA. Roles/Responsibilities: Provide engineering expertise with significant experience, training, and education to provide subject matter expertise in specific engineering areas. Develop engineering solutions for emerging technologies based on synchronization of experience and knowledge in an SME area. Provide analysis and testing support to engineering projects and work as part of an engineering IPT for a Project Lead to provide a coordinated and optimized engineering solution to project requirements Qualifications: Masters of Science Degree in a STEM or a closely related field Active DoD Secret Clearance or Interim Clearance 25 years experience working in military aviation; 15 years of systems acquisition experience; 10 years SOA experience. Desired Education and Experience: Level III Program Management Certification or commercial equivalent and 10 years experience working in an aviation program management office.
