The 127,000 square foot Troy Community Center includes a fitness center, recreation and leisure classes and public banquet and meeting room rentals. it offers residents of all ages the opportunity for personal development, socialization and stress relief.The Recreation Department is seeking a Recreation Aide to process pass/membership application and monitor entry to Fitness Center. Aide will also supervise patrons in the fitness and gymnasium areas, control desk, dance & aerobic studios. DUTIES (Not All-Inclusive) Must be 16 years of age. Very good computer skills. Prefer computer experience processing sales and registrations. Customer Service Background. Prefer CPR and First Aid Certification, or must be certified within 45 days of employment. Prefer knowledge and experience with Recreation activities and programs REQUIREMENTS (Open and Competitive) Process pass/membership applications (primary part of job). Monitor and coordinate activities/meetings within the complex involving the aquatic center, locker, activity and meeting rooms. Enforce rules and regulations in order to ensure a safe environment. Attend to accidents, maintenance request and incidents. Perform other related duties such as general office tasks, giving tours, and performing minor maintenance tasks. HOURS Part-time, year-round. Mon-Sun 5am-9pm.
