DAY-TO-DAY This roofing management position is full-time and typically works between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm . As a Roofing Construction Project Manager, you oversee field staff operations, safety, quality, and job production. You use your knowledge of the construction industry, as well as your organizational and leadership skills, to ensure quality while keeping projects flowing smoothly and on time. With an eye for efficiency, you schedule and coordinate employees and subcontractors, as well as the delivery and use of materials and equipment. You monitor labor hours, material usage, anticipate shortages, and proactively order materials as needed. You are meticulous about keeping schedules, paperwork, and reports up-to-date. While some of your time is spent at your desk or on the phone doing administrative tasks, you also get to spend time out in the field at construction sites on a daily basis. You patiently resolve concerns that arise and deliver exceptional customer service at all times. You also develop and maintain good relationships with vendors. You stay in regular contact with managers and homeowners regarding the progress of each job and ensure that everyone involved has the information they need.
