If you value working for a purpose-driven company, we want to get to know you! Overview: The R&D Engineer will conduct research and development activities for new and existing products. They will apply research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities and will summarize research results and communicate findings. Under limited supervision / guidance, this role will compile, analyze, and report operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified products. Job Responsibilities: Carry out engineering assignments that are broad in nature and require appreciable originality and ingenuity Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering and scientific techniques and procedures using good judgment to solve difficult technical and scientific challenges Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to work independently with limited direction. Develop protocols and perform troubleshooting on new products as related to design, material, or process. Summarizes, analyzes, and draws conclusions from test results. Responsible for engineering documentation. Successfully completes complex engineering work and documentation in one or the following; design and execution of experiments, verification of software and hardware, preparation of specifications, analytical and clinical validation (animal and clinical studies), and report preparation. Ability to work cross functionally with other internal departments, including training members of Service & Support departments. Minimum Education / Job Experience: Candidate with physics, electrical or biomedical engineering degree preferred Experience: 2-4 years experience in comparable industries Knowledge of optics, lasers, image sensors and electromechanical instrumentation Good working knowledge of FDA regulations, ISO standards and design controls process Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a team-oriented environment Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
