Graham Spray Equipment Job Description Job Title: Fiberglass Technician Reports To: Production Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary: The Fiberglass Technician's main responsibilities be to learn and assist Senior Fabricators with fiberglass and mold making projects. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assist Senior Fabricator with fiberglass and mold making projects. Repair or modify damaged or defective fiberglass parts Check for thickness, densities, and contours to ensure a close fit after repair Cure materials, place them under heat lamps, or bake in parts oven Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to comply with safety awareness and regulations. Effective verbal communication and shop skills. Must be punctual and have a dependable work ethic. Ability to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Must be able to read a tape measure. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
