ALMA re-imagines what an arts center and cultural institution could be, redefining itself as a hub for social, economic, and cultural exchangeIndigenous directed principles of accessibility, belonging, creative expression, rematriation, and sustainability remain at the heart of our operational strategies Dishwasher Reports to Head Chef Avg 15-20 hours/wk | $16-$17.50 per hour + Tips OVERVIEW Our restaurant and cafe seek a dishwasher with an excellent work ethic who will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of dishes, tableware, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils through manual and machine cleaning methods. Additionally, they are expected to keep the dishwashing area clean and safe and may support the kitchen with food preparation. JOB EXPECTATIONS Scrape, rinse, and load dishes and utensils into the dish machine Wash and sanitize all pans, utensils, and dishes Clean, sanitize, and maintain dish machine Unload dishes and utensils from the dish machine and organize them properly Empty trash containers regularly Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping as needed Perform additional cleaning duties as requested Clean food prep stations and equipment [Work Hours & Benefits] This is a Part-Time position, Non-Exempt for 20 - 30 hours a week. ALMA observes 7 Holidays per year and Benefits include: PTO accrual of 2 hours for every 40 hours worked Employer paid employee assistance programs Employer paid Teladoc benefit 40% discount on menu items Employee Shifters 33% studio discount Free admission to ALMA shows (contingent on capacity) QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred Restaurant or customer service experience preferred Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card Must be able to stand continuously throughout an 8-hour shift Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Comfortable bending, climbing, reaching, stooping, and moving quickly Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Working knowledge of sanitation procedures
