Associate Director of Data Services Reporting To: Executive Director for Institutional Advancement Full-Time Exempt Job Summary: The Associate Director of Data Services reports to the Executive Director for Institutional Advancement and steers a shared services team charged with leading our efforts to harness and leverage data systems, analytics, processes, and integration across functions to empower elevated results and decision-making throughout the organization. Role Summary: Develop and coach a shared services team to leverage enterprise data systems, empowering insights, data-driven decisions, and elevated results across the entire organization Lead large scale enterprise software migration to convert data and optimize operations from multiple software solutions to a single vendor platform Innovate and adapt sales, financial, academic, and customer relationship processes to new enterprise software, driving simplification, improving customer experience, and increasing access to data Forge strong cross-functional relationships, collaborating to drive transformational initiatives, influencing without authority, communicating effectively, and devising creative solutions to strategic problems Serve as the lead architect for SIS and CRM solutions, portal configurations, upgrades, and change requests Understand and regularly collaborate on the integration of shared data between Advancement and other CHCA departments Lead advocacy for operational technology and data solutions; Empower team members to partner and find creative ways to drive efficiency Build out tools and processes that harness and leverage our data systems to empower elevated results, insights, and decision-making across the entire organization Champion and lead the effective populating and updating of constituent data so that it can be utilized and reported on effectively Mentor and develop staff with empathy, transparency, and regular feedback; empower them to take responsibility for their work and goals and attain increasing sophistication in their contributions Liaise between functional teams and IT to ensure technology solutions are optimally working Desired Qualifications: Minimum of five years experience in management of enterprise data solutions, with focus in Advancement Services or Business Operations preferred Critical thinker and creative problem solver willing to recommend, learn, and apply new software platforms and business processes Minimum of five years in a leadership capacity with the ability to drive change management and guide teams with confidence and empathy through a fast-paced, changing environment Advanced business and technical acumen combined with deep analytical and organizational skills Passion for optimizing data-driven decision making and translating business initiatives into data strategy and technical vision Strong aptitude for communicating with and advocating for stakeholders across levels to align their data systems and business intelligence needs Deep understanding of business functions, workflows, and processes Ability to always hold information in the strictest of confidences Proficient in business software including Office365 and Adobe Suite Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience, or advanced degree with 5-7 years of experience Duties require strength to lift boxes up to 40 pounds and stamina to be on feet for 8+ hours on event days.
