Summary : The pu rpose of this class within the organization is to operate heavy equipment on job sites, assigned facilities and other designated locations for a department, division or work unit. This class works under close supervision according to set procedures. Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a designated schedule established by the Department Head. Typical work hours may generally be_______________________. It is also expected this position will work other and /or additional hours including nights, weekends and /or holidays as necessary or requested in order to accomplish departmental goals. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Other and /or additional duties may be assigned. All assigned duties should be performed in an efficient, effective and safe manner. Strives to be efficient and effective at balancing and meeting the common needs and reasonable expectations of core constitutes. Contributes towards the department's mission by continuously striving to meet expectations, strategic goals and objectives. Operates a broad range of equipment which may include Riverbank Tractors, Right-of-Way Tractors, Vactor Trucks, Backhoe, Excavator, Endloader, Gradall, Blacktop Paver, Roller, Tree Trucks Dump Trucks and/or other equipment. Collaborates with and assists construction crews when necessary and required. Loads and unloads equipment, tools, and job materials. Education / Experience: High School Diploma or GED. Requires one year of equipment operation experience or closely related experience Certifications / Licenses: Must Possess and maintain a valid State of West Virginia CDL Class A Driver's License with Trailer and Tanker endorsement.
