Fit Societe is currently looking for a qualified fitness coach to take over some functional group fitness classes. Evening and mornings available. There is also an option to join our Physical Therapy Aide team to build more hours. Fit Societe is located in 3 locations and inside a Physical Therapy Facility. Locations and needs: La Mesa Tuesday/Thursday Mornings 6:00am Thursday Evening 5:30pm Kearny Mesa Tuesday/Thursday Mornings 6:00am/7:15am Monday/Tuesday/Thursday Evenings 5:30pm Sorrento Valley Opportunities for AM Classes Tuesday/Thursday or PM Classes Monday/Wednesday This is a class only part time position, however we are also looking for personal trainers with more availability. Free membership included. Our coaches use a unique dynamic functional approach to fitness management and assess the physical and health conditions of clients, create appropriate exercise plans, modifications, and monitor their improvement. Ultimately, you will help our clients have fun and improve their health through exercise. We are a private gym with in a physical therapy facility and collaborate closely with the PT's and the wellness team (massage therapist, chiropractor, nutritionist). Responsibilities Identify the clients' fitness level and health Oversee completion of exercise routines Track clients' physical progress Modify exercise plans based on needs, potential injuries or health issues alongside our Physical Therapy team Conduct individual and group fitness training sessions Adopt our holistic training approach (e.g. Applied Functional Science, weightlifting, cardiovascular exercise, strength, etc.) Oversee the use of fitness equipment to ensure clients exercise properly and safely Handle nutrition and health-related questions under your scope of practice or refer to appropriate staff Refer, promote, and sell fitness packages, memberships and subscriptions CPR certified Requirements Degree in exercise science or related field Certification or Plan for one (NSCA, CSCS, NASM, ACE) Preferred previous work experience as a Fitness Trainer or similar role Knowledge of diverse exercises and how to adjust plans according to each client's needs Ability to instruct and motivate people High School Diploma; degree in Kinesiology or Sports Science is a plus Compensation: Based on experience and % of schedule booked Group Classes- fixed rate Personal Training Commission % based on experience and sales Incentive Program for growth/membership sales
